Units must be inspected at least biennially during assisted occupancy

The PHA must inspect the unit at least biennially during assisted occupancy to ensure it continues to meet HQS, except that a small rural PHA as defined in 24 CFR 902.101 must inspect at least once every three years. When a participant family or government official reports a potential deficiency, the PHA must inspect and notify the owner within 24 hours if the reported deficiency is life-threatening and within 15 days if it is not.
