HTF onsite inspections occur 12 months after project completion and at least once every 3 years thereafter

htf.inspection.ongoing · v1.0.0

During the period of affordability the grantee must perform onsite inspections of HTF-assisted rental housing buildings to determine compliance with the ongoing property standards and to verify the information the owner submitted under 24 CFR 93.302. The onsite inspections must occur 12 months after project completion and at least once every 3 years thereafter during the period of affordability. A separate inspection is required at project completion itself.

CORRECTED 2026-08-31: this record cited 93.301(b) for the inspection cycle. That paragraph is 'Rehabilitation projects'; the frequency is at 93.404(d)(2)(ii). A locator is what a compliance officer follows to defend a position, so one pointing at the wrong paragraph is a defect even when the stated rule is right. CORRECTED 2026-08-31 (second pass): this record stated the triennial cycle and omitted the first inspection entirely. 24 CFR 93.404(d)(2)(ii) requires an onsite inspection 12 months after project completion AND at least once every 3 years thereafter, so a grantee following this record as written would have missed the first one by two years. The statement now carries both, with the regulation's own words quoted.
