Eligibility may be terminated under the net asset and real property restrictions
mod_rehab.assets.limitation · v1.0.0
Eligibility for housing assistance payments may be terminated because of the restrictions on net assets and property ownership in 24 CFR 5.618. That section applies to the Section 8 tenant-based and project-based programs and to public housing, and bars assistance either initially or on reexamination where net family assets exceed the adjusted $100,000 limit or the family holds a present ownership interest in, a legal right to reside in, and effective legal authority to sell real property suitable for occupancy as a residence.
