Rental Assistance reaches off-farm labor housing only; on-farm labor housing is excluded

A housing project financed with an Agency OFF-farm labor housing loan or grant is eligible for Agency Rental Assistance, and to be eligible for operating assistance rents a tenant must meet the Rental Assistance eligibility requirements at 7 CFR 3560.573 and 7 CFR 3560.252. ON-FARM labor housing is expressly not eligible for Rental Assistance. Where Rental Assistance units in a Section 514 or 516 project go unused for a twelve-month period the Agency may, to the extent permitted by law, transfer them away - a longer grace than the six months that applies to a Section 515 project.
