On-farm labor housing is limited to the borrower's own employees, and the borrower's immediate relatives are ineligible
rd514_516.tenant_selection.on_farm_occupancy_is_limited_to_the_borrowers_employees · v1.0.0
Occupancy of ON-FARM labor housing is restricted to employees of the borrower unless the Agency approves otherwise, and occupants must meet the definition of a domestic farm laborer at 7 CFR 3560.11. The immediate relatives of the borrower are ineligible occupants. Ineligible tenants may occupy on-farm labor housing only on a short-term basis, with the Agency's prior written permission, and that permission must itself be for a limited duration. This is the exact inverse of the off-farm rule, where conditioning occupancy on working for a particular owner is prohibited outright.
