federalUnited StatesUSDA Rural Development Section 521 Rental Assistancesubsidy_calculation
A tenant already holding a non-Agency subsidy may receive Rental Assistance only if it is not a HUD voucher
rd521.subsidy_calculation.layering_with_a_non_agency_subsidy · v1.0.0
Multiple types of rent subsidy may be used in the same housing project. A tenant already receiving a subsidy from a source other than the Agency may also be eligible for Agency Rental Assistance, but only if all three conditions hold: the tenant qualifies for Agency Rental Assistance; the subsidy the tenant is receiving is NOT a HUD voucher; and the subsidy being received is less than the full amount of Agency Rental Assistance for which the tenant would qualify. Where those conditions are met the Agency may provide the difference between the subsidy received and the amount of Rental Assistance for which the tenant qualifies.
