A verification is valid for 120 days from the date the owner received it, not from the effective date of the HUD-50059; age, disability, family membership and citizenship need no reverification
s8.certification.verification_valid_120_days_from_receipt · v1.0.0
Verifications are valid for 120 days from the date of receipt by the owner, and expressly not from the effective date of the HUD-50059. If a verification is more than 120 days old measured from receipt, the owner must obtain a new one. The time limit does not apply to information that does not need to be reverified: age, disability status, family membership and citizenship status.
The asterisks in the quotes are HUD's own Change 4 change markers. The clause '*not the effective date of the 50059.*' was ADDED by Change 4 -- so the anchor was ambiguous in earlier printings and is not, after 2013-08-07.
