In addition to the owner's own at-least-annual inspection of the assisted units, an inspection under the National Standards for the Physical Inspection of Real Estate must be performed of the assisted units and related facilities at a frequency that conforms to the property's other existing federal or state housing programs and to the minimum requirements of 24 CFR part 5 subpart G. Where multiple federal or state housing programs are layered at the property, the frequency is set by the most stringent of them, and in no case less often than every three years.
