A reported change in income or circumstances must be acted on within 30 days of the tenant's report

Where the household reports a change in income or other circumstances that would increase or decrease the Total Tenant Payment between regularly scheduled reexaminations, the owner must, on receipt of verification of the change, make the appropriate adjustment to the Total Tenant Payment promptly and no later than 30 days from the date the tenant reported the change. The owner may require in its lease that families report increases in income or other changes between scheduled reexaminations.
