An affirmative fair housing marketing plan on form HUD-935.2A is required and must run for the life of the mortgage

xp.afhm.plan_required_on_form_hud_935_2a · v1.0.0

An applicant for participation in an FHA subsidised or unsubsidised housing programme must carry out an affirmative programme to attract buyers or tenants of all minority and majority groups regardless of sex, disability or familial status, and that affirmative marketing programme must be in effect for each multifamily project throughout the life of the mortgage. The plan is submitted on the form HUD supplies -- form HUD-935.2A, Affirmative Fair Housing Marketing Plan (Multifamily Housing) -- and once approved by HUD it must be available for public inspection at the sales or rental office. All advertising must carry the Equal Housing Opportunity logo, slogan or statement, advertising that depicts people must depict both majority and minority groups and both sexes, the Fair Housing Poster must be displayed in every office where sale or rental activity takes place, and an Equal Housing Opportunity sign must be posted on the site.

Form HUD-935.2A as served from hud.gov on 2026-08-31 is the 12/2011 edition and prints an OMB approval expiry of 1/31/2021 on its own face. An expired OMB control number does not extinguish the underlying regulatory obligation in 24 CFR 200.620 and 200.625; it is recorded here because the discrepancy is visible on the form and will be asked about.
